Reply:Plant anything you want! I am a HUGE gardener myself! If you have a balcony, or a place that gets a lot of sun, you should plant some tomatoes. Tomatoes do great in the sun! Pansies also live for a very long time! You should plant pannsies, daisys, roses, and tomatoes, they all live for a very long time! Good luck on your garden!
Reply:If shade or part sun...the easiest plant is impatiens'!! Water them every few days and they will really fill out. I used one color in my flower bed and it looked great!!!!
Reply:Before planting anything, amend the soil. Get some compost and dig it into the bed. bury some used coffee grounds. Your plants will grow much better and have less disease.

As for what plants, depends on how much sun you have and what colors you like. Also if you want perennials or annuals.

For sun, it is hard to beat Profusion Zinnias. They bloom all summer, and are self cleaning. That means you don't have to pick the dead flowers off, the plant grows over them with new flowers. Also red salvia is nice, and attracts hummingbirds. Also full sun annual.

Good luck, and take care of the soil, you will be happy with the results.
Reply:There are lots of flowers that are easy to grow. Bedding plants such as Begonias and Impatiens grow very easily as do Petunias, Zinnias and Marigolds. Learning the difference between annuals and perennials will help you to plan a garden that will bring you satisfaction and enjoyment all season long, and proper planning will ensure that there is always something new coming into bloom as the gardening season progresses.
Reply:Go to your local garden center and look around to see the variety they have. Gardening can be such a good hobby. And it doesn't have to be a chore. Mulching your best friend in keeping plants from drying out. This also keep you from watering all the time. Also available is a weed fabric to deter weeds from coming up. I've been an organic farmer for 30 years . Mulching save a lot of work and time but still have good results from your garden. By doing this you will enjoy you garden.
Reply:Try Mary Jane, it´s easy and profitable !
