New to gardening and have bought some flower seeds,any tips on how to get the best results.?

For example do i grow the seeds in pots,and then transfer to the garden,if so what size should they be,any advice apreciated.

Depending on the type of seeds they will need different times of dormancy lengths. Most annual seeds will of course germinate the following spring season. Seeds need air, moisture, and good temperature for germination.





It's Best to plant and grow seeds right where you want them planted. Transplanting them after they are in a container will only stress the plants more.
Reply:depends on what kind of flowers they are some of the flower seeds you can plant out in your flower bed just dig a hole about 3 inches deep and drop 5 or 6 seeds in there make sure you water it right after putting the dirt back on top of the seeds , after about a week i would water them with miracle grow once a week hope this helps you out , oh by the way you need to read on back of package and see if they require full sun , shade or what they require before planting so you could get them in the right location
Reply:Depends on what type of seeds they are. I personally never "mess" with seeds. I buy plants. If expense is a concern, you can always buy the smaller pots--they are much less expensive then the large ones. They all grow into the same plant. The smaller ones just take a little bit longer sometimes.
Reply:The trays you buy annuals in are great to start seeds. Many nurseries will give you a few if you ask.


Transplant them after they show about three or more sets of regular leaves, not counting seed leaves.
