Any ideas for a toddlers flower/butterfly theme room?

Reply:I painted huge daisys all over my daughters' walls, draw a circle round a plate for centre and paint yellow, then free hand mad, big petals and paint white! Looks good until the kids grow up then a nuisance to paint over so I suggest peelable/stick-on flowers etc that can be removed and replaced - she will have the fun of redecorating her room herself whenever she feels like it. Suspend butterflies from the ceiling and have matching bedding.
Reply:there are squares that look like felt or a washable plastic that "Michaels Crafts" store sells, and you can cut flowers, butterflys, anything you want from them and then glue them to the wall, and they come in all colors. Do a draft picture of what you want on the wall and then make the flowers together with your daughter.
Reply:Id paint the ceiling white.. then do a tented ceiling from the center with a fan in the middle.. with TULLE.. different but coordinating colors... and attach faux butter flies and flowers to the tulle..
Reply:You could take a section of wood/plastic fencing and attach to the wall, then take two more sections, one for each side. Lay down artificial grass carpet and put a toddler bed on top. Wind greens and flowers in and out of the fencing, attach small flowerpots with wire, add flowers and have butterflies flying over the flowers.

For the play area, again take the artificial grass carpet and lay down a checkerboard tablecloth with a basket of fake food so she can enjoy a picnic in her own yard.
Reply:For stuffed animals you can get some of the cartoon characters from "Bugs Life". They are so cute and go with flowers and things. What about painting the walls like grass on the bottom with blades of grass on the sides and blue towards the middle and top. Then clouds on the very top and ceiling. Add flowers and butterflies.

Buy or make a butterfly mobile to hang over the bed. Or make a bug character mobile.
Reply:Check Yahoo under wall murals. Click on (murals your way). It has 5,000. It should guve the ideas you need.
Reply:yeah add some flowers and butterflies will go great!

no seriously try ebay for stencils or stick arounds
Reply:Sounds like the theme room I want for my daughter, I could tell you one of my ideas I am going to do . Put some of those fake flowers in there.
Reply:If you can afford it, (you could also do it yourself) how bout you paint a mural on the walls. A mural of a garden that's all hers. Her own little sacerary or however you spell it. Get bedspreads that match the colors, so she'll feel like she's sleeping in the garden. Add a birdcage w/ some real birds perhaps, or something. Add some live things, as well as some fake things. Have her help you. It would be a good growing experience and bonding as well. Sorry its so long but that's all I've got to say! Good day!
Reply:Find some images that you like of butterflies/flowers and use them as a template you just chalk the back and then you can go over the outlines on any furniture or fabrics you'd like to match.

Use a suitable paint for furniture and material paints for fabric.

Or using card you can paint onto this and cut it out and attatch to your walls or make a mobile.

If you have card you can use this to create a stencil, tape the image to the card use a craft knife to cut out - you have to be a bit creative because you have to leave tags but then its so easy to use a makeup sponge and lightly sponge the design just make sure you load it with a little paint ie take excess off on some paper before applying.

Have fun

Reply:why not get your daughter to pick some flowers she likes and have them laminated in frames - this looks great and is very original. Plus you and your daughter can have doing this together.
