I need to know what kind of flower i have growing in my garden....?

it is very tall, app. 4-6 feet tall. has a very thick stem and it has leaves that resembles marijuana leaves, but the underside of the leaf is purple. toward the end of spring it blooms 1 beautiful red flower on the top of the stem.

It is hard to say but I agree your description sounds just like a castor bean plant (if it looks somewhat like a small tree). If this is the case, they are very pretty but the seeds can be deadly to animals and humans so make sure to remove %26amp; destroy the seed pods before they mature.

Reply:there are a lot of possibilities but it could be a castor bean plant. is the flower single or a cluster of flowers.
Reply:post a picture and I am sure some of us could help you it is kind of hard without a picture . I know i do alot of gardening but without a pic it is near impossible to tell you what you have .
