Violas and Pansies LOVE the cold.

Okay I guess the violas don't sound as lame as zinnas Report It
Reply:we had Zinnas in our flower garden in Michigan that lasted for many years. After three years we did se them start to die off a little though better then half was still able to survive from year to year. I thought the summer was harder on them you had to be sure to keep up with the pest control and weeds.
Reply:Plastic.
Reply:most plants frown upon freezing conditions. but if you are refering to 40 degrees or so Broccoli, aspargus, lettuce, kale and a host of other winter vegetables are suitable. I know you asked about flowers but the truth is that most spectacular spring, summer or fall flowers go through the cycle of dying back in the winter. Best Bet: Get a cold weather perennial bush and when it gets cold just prune it back and wait for spring. BLUE BERRIES are ideal because they tolerate cold and will survive the winter and their leaves turn a beautiful red color in late fall.
Reply:go to a cold place, then look for a flower. Check what that flower is. Buy it go to your house, plant it (simple!)
