Hi have a look at this website, perennials will come back every year!

All beautiful flowers, some die back to nothing, make sure when you do your weeding next year you know where you flowers are, maybe put markers in the soil! :)
Reply:Check out the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center (University of Austin) link. Go to Explore Plants-Recommended Species-Part of Texas you live in- then view the images on the right and when you see something interesting click on the scientific name on the left for plant info. You're lucky to have the Wildflower Center in your state.
Reply:Here is a site I've run in to from time to time. I think it's great as they have plants that are tried and true for Texas.

Now keep in mind, this is just one site but these are tested. Generally if you keep to the same species as the recommended one, you will be okay. For example. Echinacea purpurea 'Magnus' is listed. But there are a lot of other Echinacea purpurea types around and I am sure they will do fine as well. The same with Verbena tenuisecta 'Fuchsia', there are a lot of other Verbena tenuisectas around. This will at least give you a good start.

Best of luck! :)
