Are people in the USA as passionate over there garden as us Brits.?

All me nabours are going mad like busy ants. running back and forth to the garden

center buying flowers and the like. and i must say it all looks very nice.

Are people in the USA as passionate over there garden as us Brits.?
Yes, we're passionate about our gardens, too...and our lawns, and our potted plants, and our orchids, and our fruit trees, and our ornamental trees....yep, we're passionate and the garden centers love us! Some cities, such as Boston, have common areas by which a citizen can have a plot of space and create and maintain their own garden, and they are spectacular.

I love looking through books with pictures of English gardens, they're beautiful, hope to see them in person some day.

Happy gardening.

Reply:yes there are many garden people here in america...we all like great things!

Gardens are a great way of helping us relax and keeping us busy. when we have a great garden, we feel proud of ourselves and its such a great feeling lol.
Reply:some are and sometimes are worse!!! like my grand mother and my neighbor...i just let mine go~~~~~
Reply:Those of us that garden here in the US LOVE IT! We have many of the same gardening shows on TV. One of my favorites use to be ..........I can't remember the name but it had the little guy that was the master gardner and the big guy that did the building and the cute redhead that did a "Jack of all trades job" Mostly the garden ponds. The show was from the UK. They don't have it here where I live anymore.
Reply:From a Brit living in the States, it is the same here. Spring is sprung and the ants are busy.....................
Reply:some are
Reply:Yes, we are, we love our plants, they grow big, beautiful and strong, and they don't talk back!
Reply:some not all
Reply:YES. Some of us prefer planting old cars and other sorts of junk in our yards but that doesn't mean it's not pretty.
Reply:It's still too cold and damp right now. I about three weeks we will be busy as ants throwing money away on things that look pretty for only a few months. But that's life.
Reply:LOL I'm from Lincolnshire , England. And i have an old armchair, a rusty barbacue, and a lawn full of weeds ..and my garden is the tidiest in the neighbourhood...
Reply:I love my garden. Its the place where i can go and relax.
Reply:I live in St Louis Missouri (Midwest) and when I moved into the house I am in now there were at least 100 flowers/trees on this half acre! And the occupants before me? a 92 and 90 year old couple who worked in their yard EVERYDAY! My hats off to them, we couldn't do it, we had to sadly mow them down because the flowers had weeds all in them and grown over and weeding it would have been impossible after the house had sit empty a year! :(
