How to beat a BEAVER in my garden?

I have a beaver which is eating many of my flowers and digging holes in my garden. It is VERY annoying. What can I do to get rid of it? How do I scare it off or poison it?

I thinking that you are talking about a groundhog and not a beaver. Do you have a stream or creek nearby? Beavers usually chew on and kill the trees. I have never heard of a beaver digging holes in a garden. (but I am willing to listen to what others say about this because I learn something new every day.)
Reply:A beaver eats small twigs tree bark and lives very near water. A more likely culprit would be a ground hog. Both are difficult to live trap this time of year. I live in an area that allows me to shoot either as pests. Ground hog is tasty, beaver is nasty. RScott
Reply:get a have a heart live trap (borrow if possible)

take it at least 10 miles from your house and let it go
