I STRONGLY suggest you get one of those water sprinklers that are motion activated and with blast the cat or any other animal that sets it offwith water. The wire mesh and other repelling agents work short term. Also, make sure that you do not have a hidden area, like a small bush in your flower bed where a cat can go potty behind. They tend to feel vulnerable if there is no coverage when using your garden as a toilet.
How to keep a neighbours pessty cat out of my flower gardens??
Your local pet store would have something for that.
Not sure what it's call but you place it in the flower bed and the cat and other animals do not like the smell and don't enter.
Also it doesn't harm your plants and it's not toxic to animals.
Good luck.
Reply:lemon or orange peels work well, they dont like the smell. I have also found that sprinking black pepper around the plants works, though you have to renew after it rains.
Reply:I saw a show once that suggested you place a wide wire mesh over the area and cover it up with some soil. Cats apparently don't like the feel of the wire on their paws. I never tried it though.
Reply:Put mouse traps there and cover them with newspapers. That is what my vet said to do for keeping my cat off the counter. That way he doesn't have to get hurt by them he just needs to hear the noise so it will scare him. Plus cats don't like the smell of oranges.
