That would depend. Is it tropical year round? What is your hardiness Zone? I just became interested in and acquired several Plumeria. Known as the "lei flower" in Hawaii. These are definitely tropical plants and in a truly tropical climate they can be planted in the ground. If it is just seasonally tropical they can be potted and brought inside when the temperatures dip. The flowers are beautiful and some varieties are very fragrant. Surf the web for care instructions.
