Looking for a flower to give to my mom?

my mom loves flowers and gardening, but she doesn't have the time to do it on a consistent level. i want to get her a plant that she can water and will blossom, something that can handle some neglect, but at the same time, something beautiful. do you guys have any suggestions?

Azalea. They come in different shades and are fairly easy to raise!
Reply:rose bushes

they love water

if neglected will still grow and run wild
Reply:how about a sunflower?????

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:African Violets would be good. They are indoor plants and they bloom continually. They like bright, but not direct sunlight. They stop blooming in a shady area.

The only way to kill them is to over-water them; so it's actually good that your mom sometimes neglects watering.

It's best to place the pot in a shallow saucer. When you water, you pour water into the saucer, so that the plant would suck the water from the bottom (the pot must have holes at the bottom). If you water from the top, the wet leaves could turn brown.

Timing pf watering: touch the soil. If it feels dry, do watering as described above.
Reply:cha cha cha chia!
Reply:Zinnias? thier my favorite because i had one a a little kid. i dont think they require alot of attention, but what i do know is that they bloom alot and are great for cutting. it just blooms and blooms and blooms
