What should I plant in my garden?

I live in Northern Idaho, about 30 miles from the Canadian border. We have very little experience with plants and flowers and gardening. What would be good to plant in this area? It can be anything, flowers, herbs, vegetables, whatever. I would prefer not having things that attract bees, as my mom and I are allergic. Thanks in advance.

buy some bulbs those would be easiest for starters.they have lillys you could plant that would look nice.also forget-me-not are also pretty those would be 2 nice starter flowers for you to plant.
Reply:well plant anything that you like to eat. like tomatoes or whatever. oh and if your going to plant a garden, be sure to get some pesticides because gophers can really mess up a garden.
