Hi!
Geraniums live well on a sunny windowsill, some herbs like thyme, rosemary, parsley, begonias, petunias will last for a while, impatiens, tagetes(marigold),
All the ones that are labelled tender perennials can survive on a very sunny windowsill with good care.
The best is to try out, who knows, you might end up with happy surprises!
Reply:I think you could bring in most plants in pots but there are some that you MUST bring in if you want them to survive till next year. I am in Zone 7 and I have to bring in my mandevilla, bouganvilla and purple heart plants. I tried to winter over some blackie sweet potato but wasn't very successful. Most plants will do well if given a nice sunny window to sit in till winter is over.
Reply:New Guinnea impatiens, Impatiens, begonia, hosta, ferns, try zinnias, why not! mumms - very sunny location.verbena -- it will get a bit leggy, but you can root cuttings in water. Best bet is just try it with some and see. good luck
