How do you keep rabbits away from your flower garden?

the black pepper does work as well the use of dried fox or coyote urine, but these both need reapplied after so long. however, planting chives, garlic, or onions will work just as well. depending on the type of bitter root vegetable that you plant, you may find that some of them also have color full flowers on them which will add to the aesthetics of your garden as well as deter the vermin.
How do you keep rabbits away from your flower garden?
Get a dog. He'll keep everything away.
Reply:A chicken wire fence is about the only thing other than poisoning them. We had two loose in our neightborhood a few years ago and didn't know it. They only came out at night. They ate up my verbenia like it was their last supper.
Reply:black pepper it's cheap and it really works! or human hair, just get it off your brush or out of the shower drain!

just sprinkle them around your flowers!
Reply:try putting some human hair around you flowers the rabbit will smell the human scent and leave or you could sprinkle some cayenne pepper on the bottom part of the flower which would be the part the rabbit eats first he will not like the taste and the rabbit will not try it again.
Reply:build a fence
Reply:Buy a natural rabbit deterrent from your garden center and spray it around.
Reply:throw carrots around in your yard

only not in the garden
Reply:planting very aromatic herbs..what works for me: garlic, chives, Russian sage, cat mint, other mints
Reply:With a fence, and a scarecrow, and a dog.
Reply:a chicken wire fence works real well but if you do like not a fence try marigolds
Reply:get rid of your flower garden
Reply:Every year I allways plant yellow marrigolds, around my garden, about a foot apart. Not only rabbits, but mice , deer , squirls, cats, dogs etc, ect cant stand the oder they give off and wont cross the line, they will allways walk around the area. so put them in the front. I think they look nice anyway.
Reply:Too bad is a flower garden.......in my garden I am fortunate that only the short sides are open providing rabbit access....... I plant onions in rows at the ends...Like marigolds mentioned by others; rabbits won't cross onion rows........as such they can't get into my garden.... I discovered last year and worked great.
Reply:Eat 'em!
Reply:snail pellets
Reply:Supposedly you can put human hair around your garden and rabbits will stay away. Go to a barbershop/beauty salon and ask for hair that has been cut.
Reply:i like merryberrys's answer. mine would be to buy a fox.
Reply:anything that has blood in it will drive them away. im talking fertilizer or weed killer
