Does miracle gro really make a difference in the flower garden?

I wasn't going to answer this when I saw how many people already had and I totally agree with them.

Then I viewed the answer that Miracle Grow is no different than any other fertilizer. I have done both. I noticed a HUGE difference in the size and health when I started using the Miracle Grow again. I wouldn't use anything else. I do my fertilizer duluted in a large sprinkler can. I fertilize on a weekly basis.

I enjoy my flower gardens so well that I prefer doing it the slow way with a can. That way I can enjoy my flowers and be sure they all get a good feeding. Also they like the extra attention they get one on one!!!

Yes, any fertilizer will make a difference. I happen to like Miracle Grow. I use it with the spray bottle once a month on everything %26amp; I have great flowers.
Reply:I always mud the hole with miracle gro. Helps the plants from going into shock.
Reply:Fertilizer usually makes a big difference. Miracle Gro is one brand among many that are good.
Reply:yes, it does, plants need food and water
Reply:There is no miracle in Miracle Grow except the blue dye, the fact it is put in liquid form for fast absorption and the nitrogen that all all-purpose home fertilizers have. Most outlets ie Home Depot, K-mart, Walmart have their own knock-offs of the same thing. Any general liquid fertilizer will work.
Reply:yes
Reply:oh ya. it really does make a difference. If you take prode in your garden it will give back to you.
Reply:We use a combination of Miracle gro for the vegetables and flower beds..

For our containers, I use Ozmocote. It is time released fertilizer that lasts abt 3 months.. containers need a lot of extra fertilizer since they dont have the nutrients from the ground. If it werent so expensive, I'd use it in the flower and veggie beds too..
Reply:You better believe it, but it is like a candy bar verse'es a steak. It only lasts about 2 weeks. Gran fert will last 4 to 6 weeks.
Reply:Yes indeedy! I swear by the stuff.
Reply:Any fertilizer will work, but some are better than others.Miracle Gro works, but (as with most commercial synthetic fertilizers) is pure chemicals :-( You can get organic fert. also. These tend to be less aggressive, but last much longer because they require nature to break down the nutrients, and are much more earth friendly. Also, org. will generally NOT burn your plants--chemicals can.All fert. have 3 #'s on them (eg 5-10-6); this means NPK, or Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium. These are primary nutrients.Other minerals should be listed on the packaging, like Calcium for example. Some fert you work into the soil, some you dilute with water. Different plants have different nutritional needs--like people--so what, how much, and how often depends on the plants, climate, season, growing conditions (full sun, partial sun etc.). Find out what zone you are in also. You can find out by checking the link for parks seeds. Boo tom line:feed your plants!
