Please identify bug and/or flower in garden?

I need to beef up descriptions on this page, but I don't know the species of bug or flower! I love taking pictures, but so often I just don't really know what the subject is ... just looks pretty. Here is the link, I hope you can help:

Reply:Yes, the flower is a California poppy and the botanical name is Eschscholzia californica. The state flower is the one with the bright orange flowers. There are a lot of cultivars available with varying colors and flower shape but they are not considered the state flower.

Reply:It's a California poppy. The state flower of Ca. The insect is a fly not a bee. This is also called the golden poppy.
