Describe how you would use colchicines to produce a new polyploidy species of your favorite garden flower.?
Treat part of the plant with colchicine.
Allow to grow.
Part of the plant may have become polyploid, it can usually be visually identified by larger than normal leaf size.
Take a cutting of the suspected polyploid area.
Root the cutting in soil.
Done.
